You know what I'd like to see fixed on the Wafrn app? Its insistence on reloading every time you return to it. I'd switched to FireFox to check something from a post, than returned and had to go find the post again

New version v1.9.5 of the Wafrn App published!!
This time I fixed one of the longest problems we had, were feed processing time and memory consumption kept growing and growing the longer you scrolled. With this, the move to use more of XState and tweaks in the rn-reanimated build we are back at 120fps!!
New version is ready to be downloaded in Obtanium, soon to be available in IzzyOnDroid and Apple Store and in a few days in F-Droid
Version 1.9.1 of the Wafrn App is coming
This version brings a rewrite of the feed building logic that should be a bit faster but I'm not so sure about that
What should noticeably faster is post interactions:
liking, rewooting, adding emoji reactions, all of them now use optimistic updates instead of reloading the feed on each action
this was specially hard for emojis, had to do many surgical break aparts and re-composition of the components but I think we will all enjoy it
Hi all!
Wafrn app version 1.7.0 is now available! 🎉🎉
It has the new and improved HTML renderer including fixes for link and image rendering in posts (no more weirdly aligned emojis)
it also includes a couple UX tweaks for the search screen
the notifications tab should now be faster and feel a little less janky
emoji fuckups in the servers should no longer crash the app
layout for report list buttons should now be fixed
edit profile page should now work good again
As always, this is available now on Obtanium, and should be available shortly on IzzyOnDroid and TestFlight
Soon after, this should arrive in App Store and F-Droid automatically
