[P] It's why I uave a complicated relationship with Wings of Fire. It has gotten much better, but earlier arcs could lean a little on suffering porn. It makes me wonder what the future holds. Tui could pivot hard into suffering-porn and be even more popular with the group-selves, but it'd be taking what little neurodivergent kids have away from them to further feed the overstuffed typie group-selves.

[P] It's funny becauae I think thar's why media outside of the books have so much difficulty adapting it. And now consider Discworld for typie group-selves: Harry Potter. HP is an unending cavalcade of suffering-porn. [P] I'm just glad that there are devs who still make what they want to make, writers who still wrote what they want to write, knowing that there are neurodivergent writers out there who'll love it. I think Terry Pratchett built an entire empire on somehow realising that—I've rarely seen a body of work so neurodivergent-focused as Discworld is. PTerry knew his audience well, and I'm glad of that.

After hours of searching I've yet to find even one cogent argument (everything can be summed up as "I didn't get it." or "It wasn't the pointless tragedy of suffering I wanted."); and b.)
