[P] Ask them to tell you something. Like, anything at all! I mean, if you have access to a scholar, ehy would you not do that? And if you had access to fantastic entities, why not do that? I mean, a so-called cosmic horror has as much capacity to harm or HELP you as your neighbour, so instead of going insane—and weirdly racist—because reasons, why not ask them to tell you something? "Hey Cthulhu, tell me a random thing!"

[P] I learned a lot about rocks lately from just listening to someone, they were incredibly unaccustomed to someone who isn't in the field (even as a student) taking an interest. I often have this "tell me anything" mindset because anything at all from a mind with passions beyond Me-ness is going to have something interesting to say. So why do neurotypicals obsess over harming the dissimilar so much? Instead, you could...

[P] What excites someone who's spent two hundred years stidying the same reef? What a question tbat is. Hoe many humans alive do you think have asked a question like that? My brain buzzes with wondering what a life unlike mine is like. I get to encounter a sapient squid? Cooo! No, I don't want to slay them. Go find a boring bloody neurotypical for that. I want to know what a day in their life is like! Tell me anything at all!

[P] I mean... a dragon can be long-lived, six hundred years could still be a young, spry age. So to have witnessex so much history, travelled so far, to have seen the world turn? I mean, just about anything they'd have to say would be fairly interesting. And then a dragon's special interests on top of that. A dragon has spent the last two hundred years studying one particular coral reef. Tell me anything at all about that!

[P] I call the classification of dissimilarity to Me (personal self or vague group-belonging concwpt of self) pathological becuse it impoverishes understanding, which is inherently and indefatigably wretched. This categorisation results in the desire to harm the dissimilar as it conflates dissimilarity with negative traits. What a neurotypical would do with a dragon is slay them. I would ask them to tell me anything at all!

[P] Another quintessentially neurotypical trait that bugs the snot out of me? It's never "The inconvenient truth of X," "X, the thing I don't like," or "X, the shame I'm trying to avoid," but rather "The Myth of X." To wit: "If I don't like it, if I'm bigoted about it, if it's a problem I caused, and/or it's a point of shame? It doesn't exist!" For example: "The Myth of Racism," "The Myth of Overpopulation," "The Myth of Socialism." It's annoying.

[P] I ask this: How dumb would a species have to be to sincerely believe that "dissimilar to Me" is a sin? Such a species would have to be a special kind of stupid, no? And yet, that's ths majority of humanity. Every day. I can't tell you how simultaneously happy I am to be autistic, while also ashamed of being called "human." So much of my species dysphoria is wound up in this. I am deeply ashamed of humanity.

[P] It's also really cool to be able to say tbat a person who's really unlike me (unlike either my personal self, or any social concept of myself) can be much more intelligent, cultured, capable, and well-read than I am. I mean, if every human on earth could say that? We'd have a paradise. Unfortunately, there's just so much tribal tierinf of "similarity to Me" and worth alotted according to that that we'll only ever know hell.

[P] I don't want this to really happen because you know as well as I do that the only way this ends is with humans trying to nuke the space-dragons. Anyway, I like being autistic. At least I don't think that a human person pairing with a centaur is bestiality. "The centaur isn't a person, it's bestiality!" Yes. That. I'm just... incredibly happy about being neurodivergent. It's worth the price to be able to appreciate wonder.

[P] I mean, c'mon, it'd be really funny.

"I see. So, we've developed space flight and teleportation, we have a peaceful culture which values the arts and play above all else, and we're... less intelligent than you? How so?"
"You walk on four legs, ya gotta be."
"So intelligence is indicated by one's number of legs? How does that work?"
"Dogs walk on four legs, so you're more like dogs than Me, and dogs aren't as smart as Me."
