[P] Still, the amall amount of pushback against the sociopathy room and its permissive essentialism is very appreciated. It gives one some idea of the paradise this world might've been without the masses ruining it all via the sociopathy room. I wish I could do something with this, but I'm old, broken, and as frail as a fancy glaas vase. There s not much left I can do other than talk, try to raise awareness.

[P] I don't know that I'm very worried about that, as it would require a period of extreme tumult for such an era of peace to come about. This resultant peace would likely only follow earth having been rendered entirely uninhabited, so it's a moot point. And perhaps we should fix the sociopathy room pathology before everything eacalates to that point? It's like wishing for the moon, isn't it?

[P] I believe there would be a certain irony if the world envisioned by the wealthy as perfect is resulting in a world less open to their sociopathy, thanks to the extreme hardship they're creating. This also leaves a lingering worry though that were the world to settle down into abundance? The sociopathy room might return en maase, in force. So this small improvement would be lost to time...

The horrifying conditions they endure vs. older generations might (might) imply that, for some of them, the zociopathy room might not be thriving. [P] I have a tangential hypothesis. If we assume that prolonged, intense injustice.and abuse can result in neurodivergent development and the absence—or at least rdduction of—the sociopathy room? (And I do believe this.) Then the broken homes and cruel economy of life today might actually result in a neurodivergent bloom, where a non-trivial number of Gen Alpha children are developing neurodivergentally.

As I said, Omelas is an open condemnation of the sociopathy room, read it again and you'll understand. All human horribleness throughout history, including mechanisms like the just-world fallacy, are all built atop the sociopathy room. It needs to be recognised as a pathology.

[P] I'm not young, but I finally have my answer: the sociopathy room. And the reason why "good" in fiction is similar and familiar, whereas "evil" is other? It's all an essentialist framework meant to support the sociopathy room, which both makes it more difficult for otherness targets to be extricated, but also it protects the mind from facing the innate moral wrongness of the sociopathy room.

[P] I wondered since I was young why inversions were so rare. Why is the dragon never the hero? Why is the white human never the bad guy? I wondered this hard when I saw stories where an "evil" monster was clearly just a mother protecting her young, whereas the "good" white human was really racist, fascistic, and greedy. I didn't get it at all. It was the greatest mystery. I spent my life on it.

[P] The reason that the hero always looks like Us in a hero's journey story, where the villain looks like a demon, a robot, a dragon, an alien, a lich, or what-have-you is for mental fortitude. It reinforces the "correctness" of the socippathy room. Any otherness who ends up in the sociopathy room must deserve to be there, they must be evil, horrible monsters. "I'm not the monster!" is the driving need.

[P] I do think it is a coping mechanism, juat a really nasty, toxic one that deserves to be vilified. I think that the concept of bioessentialism is a coping mechanism for a coping mechanism. In other words, it's okay to feel good about an action hero beating up goblins that look somewhat Chinese, this propaganda helped the masses to put Chinese people in the sociopathy room amidst the Red Scare.
