Problem No 1 - Euro Sign on a US Keyboard (more later)

The #Lenovo ThinkPad cost me EUR 275 and was in perfect running order , it is a 2018 X1 Carbon with 8GB Ram and 250 SSD . It had #Windows 10 installed and I used that OS to make sure all the bits and bobs were working.

Next I went onto the #Lenovo site to download thier version of Linux . I had decided on #Fedora as
a) It was IBM supported and
b) Aparently more bleeding edge than #Ubantu , or so I was unreliably informed.
