Wimberly's hip-hop Shakespeare is a brilliant mash-up of 1980s slum, Samurai codes, media domination, clever art angles, and the iambic talk of forgotten Bard subplots.

Got a bug fixed for my #USWNT stat site and its up-and-running again at https://i-want-to-be-a-fan.netlify.app/

It uses #itscalledsoccer (https://github.com/American-Soccer-Analysis/itscalledsoccer-js/) and #tybalt (https://github.com/doug-wade/tybalt/), both of which I wrote, with #11ty which I did not, and so I think that while its the most bare-bones website I've written, it's probably the one I'm most proud of as well.

I Want To Be A Fan

A USWNT fan site

I posted #tybalt to Hacker News this morning because I've been working hard on it in isolation for a long time, and I could really use some fresh eyes to figure out the next set of things we should work on and improve, but I've got a sinking feeling I'm gonna really regret it. Last time I posted a project, the feedback was very discouraging and I ended up abandoning the project ๐Ÿ˜• (in fairness, the project was kinda silly).
Get ready for my ai-generated #tybalt youtube series tho ๐Ÿคฃ.
@markmalstrom @codinghorror I totally understand this sentiment. I am writing #tybalt because modern #frontend meta-frameworks have gotten too big for me to understand on my own, so Iโ€™ve been writing my own from first principles to figure it out. Iโ€™m practicing #LearningInPublic for technologies like #webcomponents and #eleventy. It does result in a lot of thrown away code, but most code is thrown away eventually anyway. Pluses and minuses both ways, I guess.

I spent the morning finishing up migrating my soccer stats site -- which uses itscalledsoccer (http://npmjs.com/package/itscalledsoccer) to display stats for #uswnt players -- to use #tybalt. It's still very barebones, but you can visit if you're interested: https://i-want-to-be-a-fan.netlify.app

(its likely more interesting for the #webcomponents and #javascript crowd than the soccer fans -- American Soccer Analysis' site is way cooler than mine ๐Ÿ™‚).

I'm pretty pleased with the lighthouse results for tybalt.org which is built in #tybalt. Now I just gotta figure out what's busted with the PWA and fix the formatting on the code examples ๐Ÿ‘.

Got version v0.1.6 of #tybalt out today! You probably still shouldn't use it in production, but the v0.1 branch is getting to be a pretty stable way to author #webcomponents .
