When you just finished a bead crochet bangle, but it's the wee hours of the morning, and you're not going to whip out the photography setup so you use the currently sweepy resident wiggle worm/snuggle monster/gremlin/pocket dragon as a model instead 🥺🫶.

Did y'all know that I also BEAD CROCHET 👀? Yup, there's a combo of two of my favorite things, and I do that too lol!

Initially, I was actually very hesitant to try this technique because it seemed rather intimidating. As with many things though, it actually turned out to be not so bad lol. Foundations can be finicky, and stringing repetitions of your pattern can be tedious, but other than that; I've really come to enjoy it! Plus, the smooth texture of the rope reminds me of something along the lines of reptile skin. My sensory issues approve lol 😜.

Anywho... I usually save this technique for when I'm making bangle bracelets or wristlet lanyards, and I've taken some creative liberties with finishing the latter. I just want to achieve a slightly different look, and it's been interesting figuring out something that works for me 🧐. It's certainly given my brain its daily workout lol!

Moving along, I currently have 5 or so of these projects in the works and plan to post more about a few of them soon 😃! What do y'all think? Are either of these something you or someone you know would use/wear? Inquiring minds want to know!
