A kettle of turkey vultures descended on my neighbor's tree the other evening just before sunset.

Looked out basement window and saw vulture soaring above neighbor's house. Ran upstairs and grabbed zoom camera in case it flew by the deck. No memory card, it's downstairs. Flew downstairs and grabbed it, ran back up, went out on deck, looked around corner didn’t see it, thought “maybe it’ll fly over?” and just as I backed up enough to see top of roof it flew over.

If you ever go to the Toronto Zoo in the summer, do plan time around the show they give in the kid's area. It's a great opportunity to see and learn about various birds and see many in flight. There are benefits to sitting in the upper seats. 😀
