Spaceways29/03/2024 - Sunny morning and a visit to a new Tump, Court Hill near Aboyne. Walk started along the old trainline then a bit of off track to go find the top hiding amongst all the lovely trees. As it was so nice today we decided to carry on and try and find St Machar's Cross (Early Medieval cross incised stone) and holy well. A nice feeling of away from it all. We sat in the sunshine and had our butties. I could feel warmth from the sun.

17/03/2024 - First new Tump of the year for us. A visit to Ley Hill down the old railway line from Banchory. It was a lovely sunny morning. The hill has five 110m contours so the actual top was whichever one you fancied the look of. The most southern one looked good to us. Don't think we will chase the Tumps too much this year but always nice to visit a new one.
25/12/2023 - A rainy Christmas Day. A short walk from the house that turned into a long one. A stone circle with a trigpoint. A new Tump. A stone that had its own wall. A very nice day out. Sleepy now.
Joe Hill 🇵🇸🇺🇦@hannu_ikonen Thx for posting that. Very interesting. So many parallels to today. Although, like his hands, everything of #tumps is smaller. Hitler spoke to tens of thousands, #trump can barely fill a HS gymnasium, the oathkeepers and proud boys aren’t nearly as organized.
But as was just reported by Alex Wagner, 400,000 votes in 6 swing states decided 2016. It will be equally close in 2024, and the #RadicalRight has spent the intervening 8 years destroying voting rights.
05/11/2023 - A new Tump for us half way up Glen Muick, Auchnacraig Hill. Protected by trees, it was a really lovely walk up through larch in autumn colours. We descended south to have lunch overlooking the remains of an old township. Just a lovely location in the sunshine to sit and relax. The day was too good to go back just yet so we headed south to revisit the trig on Fasheilach. A peaceful day out in the hills nicely finished by a visit to the village bonfire.
02/07/2023 - After yesterday's rain it was good to wake up to a dry day. We spent the morning at Sumburgh Head. It's a great place for puffins. We also got very lucky with a sighting of a Pacific swift! Afternoon visit to St Ninian's Bay. I was tired today.

01/07/2023 - Our run of good weather came to an end. Today it chucked it down for most of the day. Still had a good day out though. We headed north to try and dodge the rain but it found us in the end. Some nice views of landscape, birds and flowers. Bonus Tump with trigpoint at Esha Ness.
26/06/2023 - After 3 days on Mainland Shetland we moved on north through Yell to Unst. Rainy in the morning so we hid in a coffee shop. Afternoon was better so we headed up Crussa Field for a walk. Top hill for ancient cairns, it's got at least 8! Magic place with great views.
