I've made a couple of posts about the money I've lost over the past couple of days. Well, as of yesterday, it's a lot worse... But the thing that annoys me about it isn't the personal loss. It's the loss of what I could have done with that money.

I was looking at needing some specific services this year: an editor and cover artist for book(s) that I am working on. There were also a couple of other projects I was looking at financing that would have used a sizable portion of that money.

I also make fairly sizable financial donations every year. I see it as my way of trying to balance the scales for the lack of funding that really needs to be there for others: the people taking care of displaced animals, the helthcare needed for those at risk, the lack of education funding, the battle against some of the insanely crappy laws that have come about over the years. This loss has potentially affected over five years worth of those donations.

I don't look at these #trumpeantariffs as affecting me, or my bottom line. I don't give a shit about that. I'll still survive (with some tightening up in some areas). What I do care about is how it is depriving others. I care about what I could have done with those funds to try to make things, if not better, a little more tolerable.

Fuck I hate #Trump and #Musk.
