What a summer it was. I'm 25 weeks on E, I've studied like crazy (and I keep doing it, especially #JuliaSerano), I've had my first true experience with #TransMisogyny when I was forced to flee the apartment in which I had been living for a year and a half because my ex flatmate was abusive and the landlord didn't care, I started a #queer collective and I left it a few days ago because the rest of the members did not care (and at one point someone wanted to admit a cis straight man eww), I started psychotherapy...and a lot more than I can remember now. I never got bored in my life but dammit it was the longest journey so far and, honestly? I can't wait to see what's coming next.

The removal of the word "transgender" from the Stonewall memorial plate is yet another instance of the complete erasure of trans people by the US government.

Yesterday, we saw an attempt at erasing our very historical existence and role in the large queer struggle. Trans rage was central in the Stonewall uprisings.

At the same time, our existence today is denied and precarized if not outlawed.

Let us remember that the first book burning organised by the nazi party once in power concerned books about sexual and gender research from the institute who performed the first gender affirming surgeries. Today, the Trump administration is deleting entire websites mentioning transpeople.

Let us also keep in mind that this is not limited to the situation in the US, and think that we're safe in Europe. Many countries have fallen to fascism or proto-fascism. Sweden is on its way, and the difficulties of access to trans healthcare - when such care can be life-saving for many of us - is nothing but state-sanctioned feminicide and homicide.

The "good news" is that Sweden is only under a pre- or proto-fascist regime. That means that we still have a few days ahead of us to organize as much as possible before the full storm of repression comes. We need to build our resilience now to be able to keep fighting later. We need to organise our lives around love and care. We need each other more than ever.
