An angsty Rodimus Prime-centered fic, in which he does what he can to make amends regardless of risk to himself. This was a heartbreaking read in the best way imaginable.

The fic borrows elements from IDW and G1, and while the IDW elements were well-integrated, what really spoke to me was how the flaws of his G1 self are highlighted. He is so, so good, but he barely gives himself any credit. He's not just a good leader, but a good person, even if it might run against better judgment. His inadequacy, recklessness, selflessness—they all shine through here.

The other characters felt fleshed out and real as well, and you could see a glimpse of the world continuing to spin, proverbially, in spite of the tragedies faced. If you like Rodimus even a little, I highly reccommend giving this gem a read!
