Wait, are there any non-humanoid/non-Nopon Driver enemies in 2 base game that use their Blade's weapon? If not, that could make sense for a way that they never knew about the method that society adopted in Torna because they would just be like a big spider and a big plant thing so no real way for socializing with the rest of Alrest. Plus they couldn't really use the weapons anyway which is a convenient excuse.

Fun fact: recently I bought reprints of Xenoblade 1, 2, and Torna since VGP in Canada had them available (they can ship to at least the US too) and my first random Blade was Nim. She's so cool. Thankfully it wasn't you-know-who.

I think a cool way to experience the current four Xenoblade games is to have a bit of knowledge of Xenoblade 1 (probably would be enough to know who Shulk is and that he uses the Monado, but nothing in detail should be needed yet), play/watch someone play Xenoblade 2 until getting Catalyst and watching the subsequent cutscenes, then do the entirety of 1 (DE or original), then finish 2, then Torna, then X, then...
