By far the single best improvement the DE version of Xenoblade X has is that enemy arts are simply displayed under their health bar instead of the targeted Appendage.
I seriously don't know why it was like this in the original. Fighting any giant enemy clearly shows how bad that placement is.
Day 11 of Cringetober prompt was crossover. I looked at all of the Xeno franchises, where characters bounce around like bouncy things, and did not bite. Instead, I started to mutter "heels, nails, BLADE, mascara..."

Imagine if Xenoblade X didn't have that bad "Everything starts in NLA" quest system.
Exploration could've been so good when e.g. you finding a piece of the Lifehold would start the quest instead of being not interactable at all until that quest appears in NLA (at least when tied to side missions). Rewarding exploration instead of making it seem irrelevant.
Plus the game would've been a lot less fast travel heavy too.
