As a millennial I am ashamed of myself for believing that I didn't need to do what my parents did for me. I didn't pass on what I learned to the younger generation. I didn't teach them to parse lies, to question everything, and to be better. I'm sure they wouldn't have listened at first, but my parents never gave up on my, and I should have never gave up on them.
