Still getting my new PC started. I wanted to test my #bluray drive.

The PC came with #powerdvd 18. It couldn't open the Blu-ray I got from the library. Updated the software, but to no avail. Error was that my setup is not compatible with #hdcp though it really is. I even exchanged my #DisplayPort cable against #hdmi, no use. Then I tried #tipard which actually worked but only with an ugly watermark. #vlc also didn't really work, complained about missing #aacc libraries, which I was not able to install or configure correctly Then I stopped working on #windows10 and turned my attention to #linux. Here #vlc threw a similar error message about #aacc but I fixed it with some new packages, added the keydb and renamed the file to upper case. Then it worked.

So my conclusion is that I find Linux much better to work with and it also feels much better. Plus, I didn't need to buy new software and got no hidden spyware (I hope)
