1st preview of Lucy Prebble's The Effect, directed by Jamie Lloyd, at the National Theatre tonight. While it doesn't quite grip plot-wise, it's an intelligent play filled with ideas and with good performances from Michele Austin, Paapa Essiedu, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith and Taylor Russell. Worth seeing.
