It is a pretty long book. And heavy, as I am reading the dead tree variant.
I have finished The Aeronaut's Windlass by Jim Butcher. Rated it a 4 out of 5. I had a pretty good time with it, although I sort of roll my eyes at the sentient talking cats and the amount of time dedicated to them. I don't feel particularly compelled to continue with the story, but it's not due to any particular flaw of the book.
More than once now while reading The Aeronaut's Windlass by Jim Butcher I've been a little surprised by what seemed like a reference to / inspiration from The Wheel of Time.
But just now someone said, "Death is lighter than a feather; duty heavier than a... spire." They then attributed it to wisdom passed down from the time of the Builders.
Chirp Books has the audiobook for The Aeronaut's Windlass by Jim Butcher available for $5.99 for a limited time.
