Texas Southern University athletic director sued by staffer over alleged sexual assault

Kevin Granger, who has spent more than 30 years working for the historically Black university in Houston's Third Ward, has reportedly been placed on leave in light of the lawsuit. It alleges that Granger made sexual comments to the staffer on several occasions and groped her during a late April meeting in his office.

Fewer Texans say this summer was hotter than 2023 when the Houston area saw a record-shattering number of days with triple-digit heat. But, the survey found, those who experienced power outages or reported lower incomes were more likely to say this summer was hotter.
