Kevin Granger, who has spent more than 30 years working for the historically Black university in Houston's Third Ward, has reportedly been placed on leave in light of the lawsuit. It alleges that Granger made sexual comments to the staffer on several occasions and groped her during a late April meeting in his office.
Shawn Thierry, a former state representative from Houston who switched from the Democratic to Republican party, has been appointed as the executive director for policy and counsel at Texas Southern University.
