Course evals are out and I got the usual comments about my contagious passion and enthusiasm (yay, still got it!), but this term brought a new one: I am memorable. My teaching style was uniquely engaging and they will never forget it. 🥹😳😭

There is nothing more crucial than literacy for an equitable society & that means enough resources & well staffed schools where allocated resources are used properly … An illiterate population has no way to fight for their rights, keep steady jobs with reasonable pay & sustainable work conditions. Be independent knowledgeable persons

#teachinggoals I've co-supervised many theses, but this semester was the 1st time I had the pleasure of grading as the main #supervisor. Clara Willmann's thesis examined newly discovered #immigrant #letters sent between #California & Bremervörde, #Cuxhaven in Northern #Germany.
