I need to compile a list of things that signaled the beginning of the end.

One of those things are when OS developed consistent mechanisms for notifications / alerts for all apps.

There’s something about everything having the same notification counts you must notice and clear across all kinds of platforms and apps, all these notifications ending up in an endless feed, etc.

While as “nice” and “convenient” as it is it sure’s felt like it’s helped fuel this exhausting endless grind.
