PhilIf you squint very very VERY closely at this picture you will see a tiny frog/toad (it IS there I promise). It’s slightly smaller than an adult little finger nail if that helps with scale.
Whilst on the return leg of a walk along the coast between Prestatyn and Talacre today and after a 20 minute torrential downpour (we found shelter) my friend and I were confronted with a stretch of path through reeds and sea grass that was covered with hopping creatures. At first I thought they were just bugs/insects but closer inspection revealed these cute little devils which had obviously decided to make a break from where they were to where they wanted to be.
This stretch is home to the endangered Natterjack toad so I’m kind of hoping that this is a baby one!
