MeerowWir sind mit dem Boot gerade auf La Palma, das eine der größten #Sternwarten der Welt hat. Auf dem Rande der “Caldera de #Taburiente”, einem 2400m hohen alten Vulkankrater, stehen unter Anderem diese #Cherenkov Teleskope. Sie detektieren Gamma-Blitze. Die über 20 Meter großen Spiegel lassen sich in unter 20 Sekunden neu ausrichten - beeindruckende Teile! Und wir sind durch Zufall auf sie gestoßen. Man fährt auf einer normalen Landstraße um die Ecke, und auf einmal steht man davor. #astronomie
