I wasn't using #TSME, because I'm not worried about someone getting to my physical RAM chips, but #AMD removing it from #Ryzen processors via a BIOS update without explanatiob isn't just a really bad #marketing decision, it feels like it should be illegal. What if I bought a Ryzen for a publicly accessible #computer with intent to use that feature? What if it being on the 7600 was a factor in, say, a school or library buying it for their public #computers? What if I had to buy cheap DDR5 from somewhere I didn't trust not to somehow bug it afterafter the price went up?

Doesn't matter. I bought a product with features, and removing them via an update is unethical.

#ComputerHardware manufacturers need to stop removing features via firmware updates, and if even AMD is going to do this, we need to get a law about it.
