Steam Deck in 2026: Back in Stock, Pricier Than Before, But Still One of the Best Handheld Gaming PCs

So the Steam Deck was out of stock for a while, and honestly it got kind of ridiculous because this is such an amazing handheld console. The good news is it’s back in stock now, but the pricing has shifted a bit over time. It’s still expensive compared to a few years ago. You’re looking at roughly around $399–$549 for the LCD base models depending on storage, and the OLED models now typically sit around $549–$649, with special editions or higher storage versions going even higher in […]

Well, while yesterday was full of incompetence and flooding downpours, I went to Goodwill with my two aunts, and I got myself a pair of jeans to slightly expand my long pants wardrobe.

However, there was ONE thing that surprised me: All the way in the back on the shelves, there was a used stock AMD cooler sitting in its opened box with no CPU.

I really wanted to buy and save it for a future build, but the bottom was crusted with thermal paste, and I prefer buying the whole pack (CPU and Stock Cooler).

I seem to have bad luck with computer mice. Whether they're cheap or expensive, wired or wireless, simple or with many buttons, Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz, from well-known brands or from some random Chinese vendor, they always start malfunctioning after 2 years or less.

No, I don't treat them roughly, I don't throw them (or play football with them). They just start dying after that time. Weird.

Sometimes I think about the irony of #Nintendo calling thier least capable system names like "Entertainment System" and "Family Computer" when it only plays a subset of 2D #games, and it wasn't until the Wii that any Nintendo console was what I would consider a full "Entertainment System" and/or "Computer", as in, more generalized entertainment/computing capabilities than just a subset of games. Even more ironic that the #PlayStation played music CDs and the later models played DVDs and BluRays and could be used with a keyboard and mouse and web-browser, meaning it didn't just "Play", but was a full Entertainment System and potentially a Family Computer. ...and now the #Xbox is apparently just going to be a windows PC, so it will literally just be a normal computer you can play games and other entertainment on.

Stylus pen – A precision peripheral or a marketing gimmick?

We were told our fingers were the ultimate pointing devices; intuitive, free, and always attached. Yet today, some of the most expensive glass on the planet is being paired with what looks like a glorified plastic stick.
