Designed my first jumper and wanted to show it off! ๐ŸŽ‰

I'm honestly so pleased with this! It's pretty simple looking, but the main thing for me when I started making it was that I wanted something I could knit in the round, and that could imitate the look of set-in sleeves without me actually having to do any sewing. I used German short rows to create the sleeves and I think the end result looks great - hopefully that comes through in the second photo!

I'm already working on a second one as there are definitely things I want to improve on - I think the ribbing and the collar join could be neater for a start, and I'd like fewer gaps in the under-arms. I'm also going to add something to the front of the next one using duplicate stitch, as I've never done that before and it looks fun!

But yeah, as first attempts go I'm really happy with this! ๐Ÿ˜Š

You know what might be cool? Making this a sweater set - sweater + matching/coordinating cardigan. I just read a fashion forecast somewhere that said the sweater set is coming back in vogue.

@KarenStrickholm For this particular project a set is not in the cardsโ€ฆ. Iโ€™ll be making biggish puffed sleeves, and wonโ€™t have enough yarn to make something to fit over them. That said, lovely idea! I will certainly keep it in the back of my mind for another project!
