so to be honest i am kinda learning again, is hard.
Trying ohuhu markers for the 3rd time, I think i am doing better.
Since I saw the nejihina prompt list for this year, the Folklore prompt caught my eye! I knew I had to try it!
But I could not come up with anything until I stumbled upon the stream of [email protected] , who was also doing a fanart, he was inspired by Margaret Mcdonald. Which to my luck, it had such aesthetic & feel that it resonated greatly for this prompt!
So I created this piece, mimicking something a human could have created for their cultural folklore legend involving two lovers.
I wanted to do more, because the whole art piece was meant to feel organic, as if I did it on a physical medium, but sadly my 9th gen iPad could not handle more than 12 layers so I missed alot of more experimentation I wish i could do on this one.
I really enjoyed the stream of Coreyartus, I recommend it alot. I am not the type of person who watches streams at all, but noneless, i dont regret it and I cant wait for the next one! He has alot of knowledge on art.

This is my Encanto ship.
It fascinated me since the 1st time i saw the movie on theaters.
Is a toxic situationship, where I project the machismo latinoamerican phenomenom that some single mothers do, either knowing or subconciously, its on the edge of incest due to the psychological implications this behaviour carries and its implications for the outsiders of the nuclear family.
There are many headcanons regarding Bruno, mine is that he was force to "be the man of the house", to substitute the absent father, to be the example, and failing miserably. Alma really is cruel and unmerciful, even manipulative i could say.
The son-husband, poor Bruno wasnt even capable to create his own family, his own patner, anythimg that is not centered on the encanto and by extension... alma.
He "left" but it wasnt real leaving. Just bein ostracized and isolated from his own community, his own family. Left to fulfill his own emotional needs behind the dinner table wall.
