Today’s #BeerAdventCalendar pick strays (slightly) from the Christmas theme, because it’s my birthday! And my tradition is to choose a “birthday” #beer for the day, one that I’d like to drink and share. This year I’m keeping it local with #SunriverBrewing, which has a line of barrel-aged beers in its Wood Series, and in particular one fit for a birthday: Chocolate Ice Cream Imperial Stout.
I haven't posted much lately, so here's a beer I enjoyed recently: We Love LA, a West Coast style pilsner, brewed by #SunriverBrewing as a wildfire relief beer. 100% of the proceeds from the beer are benefitting the Los Angeles communities affected by the devastating wildfires earlier this year. It's crisp and hoppy and worth seeking out. Cheers!
To finish out #ValentinesDay weekend it's Thorns & Udders from #SunriverBrewing, a raspberry-infused variant of the brewery's award-winning Cocoa Cow Milk Chocolate Stout. Cheers!
While #Oktoberfest in Munich is over, many breweries are still celebrating all month long and many Oktoberfest beers are currently available. #SunriverBrewing is at the top of my list for #FreshHop #beer from Central Oregon, and Fresh Hop Vicious is my gold standard of the style. This year’s fresh hop version of its award-winning Vicious Mosquito IPA is brewed with Centennial CGX Fresh Hops from #CrosbyHops. These are fresh hops that are frozen at harvest and something new the brewery is trying this year. It does not disappoint! With notes of pine greens, bergamot, and wintergreen. Cheers! 🍻
