It seems I haven't posted anything new on here in the past two weeks. Granted, #StratosFur planning and execution took up about a week of that, but still, Mastodon feels back-burner in comparison to some of my other social media.

I wonder if I'll ever actually start following accounts in the fedi-verse so that I have a customized feed, rather than defaulting to the scroll of what other people on furry.engineer are posting.

There's been way way too much going on this weekend from #Furality to the #Switch2 launch to #Deltarune to #Stratosfur, probably the most packed weekend for stuff to do for furries ever. Insane.

The second is being hosted for the first time at any convention, at #StratosFur: "Deal or No Deal: Furry Edition."

This is a replacement for the "Card Sharks" panel I've hosted at all the Texas fur cons for a few years now, and it's gotten somewhat stale.

For those who are attending this upcoming #StratosFur , I'll be hosting two panels this year. The first is one that I've hosted every year since StratosFur started: "How to Attend a Convention on a Budget."
anyone else heading to #Stratosfur ?

So, #FurryFiesta2025 just finished up this past weekend and I was home from it on late Sunday night.

This marks the sixth time I've attended that con, but this year was the first time I applied for staff. Though I've traditionally told myself I would never staff another con other than my home con of #StratosFur , I've been volunteering every year of TFF since 2020 and usually put in enough hours to get a comped attendance. It seemed like a small jump to formally apply for staff, perhaps put in a few extra hours, and take advantage of staff-level benefits.

I won't say what department I worked in (other than that it was not a public-facing one), but first impressions of staffing were good. I was able to attend all the events on my personal schedule and still have time to work my staff shifts. It's likely I'll be applying for staff again next year.

A trio of lombaxes at #StratosFur!
