Heavy rainfall and gusty winds of up to 160 mph have paralyzed transportation in the Islands and triggered a wave of local flooding. Don't know the wind speed, but judging by the sound it is close to the height of #StormIsha last Sunday at 9.21pm when I went out with Mr Forest (dachshund).

Before the worst hit us this afternoon, I took a walk through a local nature reserve looking for buds and general January colour. The wind made it tricky so most of my photos are terrible 😂 but one gorse photo wasn't as bad as the rest! This was one of the scrawnier plants but nice nonetheless. A welcome splash of yellow on a stormy day. 💛
