The SteamPipe's set up!
This synth uses a variant of Karplus Strong to replicate physical sounds like wind instruments, percussive sounds, and some string sounds.
Unlike with most devices, I have no frame of reference for how to make my own sounds on it, but the presets are great.
Unfortunately the manual doesn't go in-depth on sound design, it's more a list of knobs. I've got some research ahead of me!
"Users of the WordPress API may enjoy the abstraction — and standardization — that a SQL interface provides. If you need to query multiple WordPress sites, Steampipe's connection aggregator will be really handy. And if you want to integrate data from WordPress with data from other APIs wrapped by other plugins, performing literal SQL JOINs across disparate APIs is a heady experience."

@KingShawn I keep up by categorizing followed accounts into #Mastodon lists and have started to remove non-VIPs from my home feed. I subscribe to #RSS feeds for posts from accounts I don't want to miss at all.
Also, @judell turned me on to creating custom queries and dashboards with #Steampipe: https://hub.steampipe.io/plugins/turbot/mastodon
All the Steampipe plugins are now also:
- standalone Postgres foreign data wrapper (FDW) extensions that translate APIs to foreign tables
- SQLite extensions that transate APIs to virtual tables
- standalone binaries that export data from APIs
It's kind of a big deal! I'm especially curious to know what @simon thinks about all the new SQLite extensions that just appeared in the world.
@Sidneys1 @jerry There's a Steampipe dashboard that works that way, I demoed it at the last FediForum: https://jonudell.info/video/fediforum.mp4
https://github.com/turbot/steampipe-mod-mastodon-insights
I wrote a whole bunch of posts about it.

It turns out not to be super-practical going against the live Mastodon API, because rate limits. So I'm working on a version that uses scheduled queries to cache data so the dashboards can run instantly.
You know a game is working for you when you build an Airtable base with a set of tables, but then dealing with Airtable queries is too clicky, so you build a set of SQL queries to use with steampipe.io using the Airtable plugin to make dashboards and crafting decision info displays and
...yeah, i guess it's pretty good :D
