Perhaps #statingTheObvious: Many critics of #AI mostly object to ***generative*** AI. E.g., criticism of images & art created by AI because they are made from preexisting media, which may be intellectual property of other artists. Besides generating output of that kind, AI can be used for other tasks, like analyses of imagery & other data. Proofreaders or autonomous vehicles don't need to be generative; they use AI to adapt to complex input, which may be difficult to codify.
