"Join us for hot cocoa, a warming fire, a #nature and #wildlife display table, #SnowSculpture making and games, and gear loans from the Ski & Snowshoe Trailer. #IceFishing traps and bait will be available for kids to use to fish. A section of the lake will be shoveled for ice skaters. Please bring your own #skates if you have them. A very limited supply will be available from the gear trailer. Gear loans are free with the Special event park admission. NOTE - the gear trailer will also be available from February 12-20 and February 22 & 23 for equipment loans; regular park entry rates apply."

Overview The surrounding areas associated with Brown County, Indiana, are often identified by the Hoosier National Forest, the Yellowwood State Forest, and Brown County State Park. While the northern part of the county is often less protected than the areas further south, the canopy and related features of the rolling hills remain fairly similar nonetheless, with the un-glaciated terrain and features relatively similar to the foothills associated with the Appalachian Mountains.
