Some limited research indicates this lens uses 7 elements in 3 groups. In contrast, Zeiss Jena produced versions with 6 elements in 3 groups, reflecting an older optical formula carried on after the war. The cutaway shown here corresponds to the 7e/3g layout and might give an overview to plan along.

With the upcoming release of a new #Rollei #35AF I'd expect the #prizes of old Rollei 35 #analog #film #cameras become lower in the future. It probably won't affect the already cheaper models with the f3.5 #Zeiss #Triotar #lens (like 35B), however I suspect it will have more impact to the prize of the Rollei 35 cameras with the f2.8 #Sonnar lenses. It's probably a good thing, Rollei 35 is a fun little camera to own. It's small but strong, well built and can survive a lot.

ARAX. The Ukrainian camera maker.
I am lucky to have one of the upgraded KIEV 88 cameras, called the "ARAX MLU" (for mirror lock-up). It is no longer available (presumably they ran out of KIEV 88 stock), but they will rework your KIEV, if you send it in.
The #KIEV 88 were #Hasselblad-500-lookalike, clunky #Soviet-era medium format cameras which sort-of worked.
#ARAX completely reworks them into wonderful precision instruments for the Pentacon-Six bayonet developed in East Germany. The fake leatherette isn't perfect, but the mechanics are great, and there are some superb Carl-Zeiss-Jena lenses for it, such as the #Sonnar 180/2.8 or the #Flektogon 50/4.0.
