I got Erich Fromm's "Man for Himself" (1947) which is a psycho-philosophical book on freedom, and an 1982 guide book to card games and solitaires from the recycling centre. Especially the two-player solitaires are interesting in the latter one. These have seen very little use, they feel new.

It is a track from his #Solitaire LP, as it was billed in the UK, entitled as Neil Sedaka in the U.S. The song became a hit in the UK and Ireland in early 1973, reaching the top 20 hit in both nations. "Solitaire" is a ballad composed by #NeilSedaka with lyrics by Phil Cody and originally recorded by Sedaka on his 1972 album #Solitaire. It uses the card game of solitaire as a metaphor for a man "who lost his love through his indifference"—"while life goes on around him everywhere he's playing solitaire". A version by #AndyWilliams reached number 4 in the #UKSinglesChart in 1973. In 1975, the song was a U.S. top-20 single for #theCarpenters.
