#SolarpunkSunday - DIY Energy Audit! Solarpunk starts with efficiency. Check for drafts around windows/doors, switch to LEDs, & unplug 'phantom load' devices. Even small changes have a big impact!

Next step: research community solar projects in your area. 💡

Quick update about my new solar array. It's peak UV for the day right now and I'm generating just shy of 32A of current for my batteries!

Hit 441W (of 800W total) today. Everything will be charged long before dark today. I love it! If this system performs this well in December, I can only imagine how well it performs in July.

In other news, my batch of broccoli microgreens has come in lush and healthy! I have limited space inside of a vehicle, but this has been a priority of mine for years.

Always have some fresh greens growing!

I've been parked here in the desert for a week now. Mostly I've been focusing on homework (for my masters program), and otherwise uneventful. I will be relocating tomorrow after a brief stop in Lake Havasu for food, water and fuel. I'm looking at points further south, with fewer people.

The new solar continues to perform well coming into the darkest part of the year. Even with the new freezer installed the batteries are refilling before sundown, which is fantastic!

#SolarpunkSunday - Grow something edible! Solarpunk is about local abundance. Even a small balcony can host herbs, microgreens, or tomatoes. Swap seeds with neighbors & share your harvest to build community resilience. What are you growing this week? #FoodSecurity #CommunityGarden #SolarpunkCitizen
#SolarpunkSunday : Start collecting rainwater! A simple barrel connected to a downspout can provide free water for gardening. It reduces stress on municipal systems & helps you feel connected to your local water cycle. #WaterHarvesting #SustainableLiving #SolarpunkCitizen
Looks like I used about 85Ah overnight. That translates to ~6Ah draw baseline, which is what I estimated previously.

9:15 am and I'm squeezing just under 15A from 200W of solar. At this rate I'll be recharged before the clouds roll in later. I really like these new bifacial panels!

Currently 48F outside and a very cozy 73F inside the van. The sun is shining and the world outside is very calm.
