Strange dream. I was talking to #EthanHawke about #Poe for a Poe conference that we were both attending & where I was giving a paper. I separated from the dream, wondering why I was dreaming that, & realized that it was because I had just been reading a ms. about #Poe and #TheRaven. After figuring that out, I realized I forgot to bring to the conference the paper I was supposed to deliver. When I woke up, I was deciding whether to give it off the cuff or bail.

(4/8) but about about the deeper threat to personhood of #marginalized communities, and the legal and social protection of that personhood; crucifixes & Ten Commandments are just the pointers or #signifiers. (So in other words, it’s not that those public property/separation of church & state things aren’t worth fighting; it’s just that so are those other things, because they are the threats that underly.)
