Well fuck. What a shit start to the day. SiL broke both her tibia and fibia last night at a party. Apparently she was standing with my partner and her leg just broke and she collapsed. I'm fucking gobsmacked.

She is 68 (I think) and lives with us. She won't be allowed home until she can bear weight (with a walker!). This is going to be hard to manage over the next X months.

Haven't been able to work today with the invasion of Ukraine going on. I tried listening to an audio book while drawing, but neither Tolstoy's The Cossacks, , nor making art seemed any good. I'll have to return to Leo and his book about the Russian genocide on Caucasian people another day.

But I made this one a week ago. I didn't intend any symbolism at all just let my imagination run free - some Rasputin and some Cthulhu, but even I can see all kinds of allegory in it now.

So be it.
