If you are so incLINEd to draw a straight horizontal or vertical line, then hold down Shift when using the Line tool.
Holding down Shift while drawing a line creates a straight line that snaps to the nearest 15 degrees.
Overlap shapes to draw a hand. Apply a fill color and transparent border to all the shapes to make it look like a single object.
