If A Tree Falls...
A short ways off the trail near the Founders Grove in Humboldt Redwoods State Park, I came across this very large fallen California Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), covered in moss and ferns and slowly returning to the Earth.
Considering it was a good 16 foot at the base and likely about 200+ foot long, it begged the question. If no one was around to hear it, did it still make a noise? 🤔
