(I say “former” scare actor, but honestly if I had the wherewithal to line up a job offer, I’d take it in an instant.)

Okay. As a former #ScareActor I’m a little put off by an advert that touts a scare attraction having no actors.

Which is fine in and of itself, I guess. But like, scare actors were conflated with jump scares and discomfort.

And that’s just a massive generalization that completely ignores the part where we’re literally performing for visitors, providing the service that was implicitly (and at times, explicitly) asked of us by said visitors.

It’s not an inherently antagonistic relationship.
