This is a jump to mostly unknown in this hobby: I got myself a 1:32 Me-262 B1-/U-1 which apparently translates into a two-seater night fighter with a radar.
Building a plane stresses me out a bit, they have to be more perfect and sleek than tanks. Less forgiving. Still, something made it exciting to start with, maybe it's the tinkering.
I started with the cockpit but soon I have to do some painting. Maybe I should've already?

The McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 is a classic long-range trijet, recognizable by its two wing-mounted engines and a distinctive third engine integrated into the vertical stabilizer. This wide-body workhorse uses a robust landing gear setup and features an extended fuel capacity compared to its domestic siblings, making it ideal for intercontinental routes. As hoped, I managed to use some mud and light sand pigments here and there, rub a graphite pen over the bare metals, and also touch up the aiming sticks. The convoy light on the bottom left rear edge got painted off-white and then I used some of my Citadel Green Wash bought in 1996/1997. Actual photos coming somewhat later.
Hummel pin washed, cleaned up, then chipped and after that again dirtified wit different brown oils like fresh and old rust and just "mud", and all gently blended around. So much fun.
When all that had dried up, I matt varnished the whole model. Tomorrow I'll use some mud pigments and a graphite pen for final highligts and call the Bumblebee done.
