John Calvin, early Calvinist, on Isaiah 58:7: the fast God chooses is to break bread w/ the hungry. When hunger is not relieved, Calvin says they are deprived of their just right.

This is an imperfect right. Not a right to take but a wrong when not supplied. Can we deal with this? I’ve heard rebuttals for social concern that it can’be a right wo/ individual fault.
Yet it is their just right.
