This happened in May, but I just found out today in a mailer from Egale.
The Supreme Court has ruled that calling out homophobia is not defamation!
It matters to me personally because my placement at teachers' college was terminated for coming out as #LGBTQ to my students. The University was very concerned about me telling my story and defaming our partner school board. But now it is official! Standing up to protect trans kids in education is NOT defamation!
