A little reminder:

"Day-2 Operations" comes from:

- Day 0: Design and architecture. Deciding what to build, choosing technologies and planning the system.

- Day 1: Initial deployment. Provisioning infrastructure, installing software, getting everything running for the first time. 🥳

- Day 2: Ongoing operations after the system is live. Maintenance, monitoring, upgrades, scaling, troubleshooting, patching, backups, disaster recovery. Everything that happens after the initial deployment is done. 😭 😭 🚑 💀 💥 😆 😭 ❤️ 😠 and all of the emotions everyone developing software can express.

The term is widely used in k8s (cloud-native) world because there's a big gap between "I got it running" (Day 1) and "I can keep it running reliably" (Day 2).

Day 2 is where most of the real work lives, almost nobody is prepared for Day 2.
Believe it or not, every sass dies on day 2, soon or later, with and without AI.
