MONSTER mit eingenommen habe ich Stand heute erst sechs Filme von Hirokazu Kore-eda gesehen. Und innerhalb dieses Rahmens würde ich MONSTER als regelrecht transgressiv beschreiben. Der prinzipiell wohlwollende Blick auf Familien- und familienähnliche Gefüge weicht hier einer Art postmodernem Realismus.
