Something hit home visually yesterday. So my mum who’s 70 plus years old I’ve suspected has been shrinking in height especially over the last decade. She’s still fit and healthy and mobile and fiercely independent but I met her outdoors at a park cafe yesterday and I swear, on the next table, there was a St. Bernard taller than her.
