A lovely Holy Saturday. A bit cloudy, but mild, and the chronicler was busy grooming the dogs. Tapis and Éclaire are almost done; Ici still needs a little more time, but she really doesn’t like the comb at all. We’re taking it slow.
And the summer vacation is booked: 10 days in the Pays Cathare and 10 days in Provence. We still need to figure out the travel arrangements, but Mont Ventoux is a given. A beautiful view.

So many chores on our list.
Summer suggested that we write them on paper crunch them in a ball with a treat inside and hide them around the house. She says that we can tackle each job as she finds them and entertain her pal in the process.
I am thinking about it while we break down the cardboard to recycle. She probably doesn't need more treats.
So warm outside Summer wants to stick with jobs she can do in the shade with a bowl of cool water nearby.
We won't deliver the cardboard to the transfer station until Monday but we are ready to go.
She gets frustrated when the boxes try to escape before they are flat.
She tells me that nothing is easy, right?

After almost falling into a coma from all the Easter food and snaps, I only had the energy to make this two ingredient cocktail. Quite nice, but I wanted some more sweetness and added 5ml of rich simple and a spray of absinthe which I think improved it.

Getting closer to success at obedience class with meds onboard, though still a little too excited and unsure to fully join in. The trainer didn't think he'd be ready to let her put the bunny ears on him( for most dogs in the class, this was an exercise meant for getting them to tolerate stuff for grooming and vet exams!) and assumed he was just begging for it to chew on, but I mentioned he seems to like it when I put blankets and things over his head at home, and sure enough he *wanted to wear the bunny ears*.

I think I'm going to look into making him some little sunhats and calming hoods since he appears to enjoy that. #DogsOfMastodon #dogs

Aujourd'hui vous avez droit à trois photos de #Yuki.

Elle a été exceptionnellement sage : on a rencontré une quinzaine d'enfants qui faisaient un goûter d'anniversaire, et quelques un'es ont eu peur d'elle. Je l'ai rappelée à moi, et une des petites filles qui avait eu peur a demandé si elle pouvait la caresser, m'expliquant que c'était la toute première fois qu'elle caressait un chien. Ses camarades se sont encouragés aussi, et sont (presque) toustes venu'es la caresser, certain'es bravant leur phobie.

Quant on est repassées au même endroit en rentrant de la promenade, plusieurs des enfants sont revenus vers nous, ils avaient plein de questions à poser. J'ai pris le temps de leur répondre, et ils ont même pu demander à Yuki de s'asseoir et de se coucher. Comme je n'avais plus de croquettes sur moi, ils l'ont récompensée avec des petits bâtons qu'elle adore croquer.

Au retour, on s'est posées une bonne heure chez mon voisin anar et son petit croisé Teckel/Épagneul papillon, un des meilleurs copains de Yuki, qui s'appelle Breton.

Ce soir Yuki est une potichien très fatiguée.
