I know people like to imagine #wildlife in the #ruralidyll, but that is not the case in Britain. Closeness to suburbia, and the relative protection FROM farmers and gamekeepers, as well as the increased surveillance simply by having a lot of people around, to protect from poaching, is the key to success. Release your beaver, lynx, and what have you, in the greenbelts and edges of cities and larger towns for the best chance of establishing populations.

@jordanbhx also don’t move into small rural villages and complain about the following:
Church bells
Cocks crowing
Cows mooing
Dung on the roads

It’s ok to complain though when someone’s cow escapes because it’s frightened by church bells, runs round the village mooing (ideally with a washing-line full of clothes wrapped round its horns) and then craps in the road when startled by a cock. Most of this happened in my last village.
