Have any of you past Unconf attendees stayed in a hotel you loved near the venue (so, close to U-Bahn station Mundsburg)? We are putting together a list of recommendations for our keynote speaker (stay tuned 👀) #rubyunconfeu #ruby #conference
In little more than a week we‘ll run our first own conference, #rubyunconfeu. I’m giddy with excitement and almost paralysed by fear. See y’all in hamburg soon!
And in case you didn't realise this until now: Every #rubyunconfeu attendee is a potential speaker, we have no predefined program. We want to hear about your struggles, about your triumphs, about your weird side projects. Doesn't need to be all technical, but could be as well!

Also, here's your weekly reminder that you would do us a huge favour if you could enter your talk ideas for #rubyunconfeu into our Contriboot before the conference as that will significantly improve the pitch and planning stage.

Unfortunately Alexandr can't make it to #rubyunconfeu, could someone pick up his proposal and talk about Stimulus.js? Because I really would love to hear a talk about it, especially with real life usage examples.

Let me know and I'll reassign! https://contriboot.herokuapp.com/contributions#c_39

Anyone who could and want to talk about making music with SonicPi at #rubyunconfeu next weekend? I won't be able to do it, unfortunately: https://contriboot.herokuapp.com/contributions#c_73

Both of our rooms do have pretty beefy sound systems! ;)

We have a Diversity Scholarship program at @[email protected] that allows people without the means to attend the conference. We haven't had a ton of applications so far, so please spread the word! #rubyunconfeu

Hello

Ruby Unconf 2018 takes place at the 5th and 6th of May 2018 in Hamburg, Germany.

If it weren't for the hours long fight with CSS I had to endure today, this would have been a good day. We've sold a lot of tickets to #rubyunconfeu today and I got a lot done for the conference as well. And I had some fun with PrawnPdf today. And I made some good plans with an old client.

But man, CSS can suck sometimes. I'm doing this for at least 15 years now and it never changed from this love and hate relationship it started with in the IE5 vs. Netscape Navigator 4 days.
