@vampiress Thank you! I used Swift and SpriteKit for the core game loop and SwiftUI for the menus. BTW #RPGTBD is looking amazing! I cannot wait to play!!

I'll get right on that.

The main reason for my rendering refactor was for trees. Trees are now props rather than part of the tileset so they can have variation and also intractable (like the ability to catch fire). We can have thousands of them without render time suffering.

I decided not to rework the loot system. It's very powerful but also complex so I figured a better use of my time was to just document it.

I spend too much time picking icons for my tasks. The emoji set includes too much food and not enough RPG.

My day:

First ugly pass of a help screen. All button/keys are user assignable and the help screen adjusts icons. Still need to do different icons for Switch/PS.

What next? Hmmm...

Big task for today is "crafting"... mainly the crafting UI.

I unpacked (IRL) my office last weekend.

I'm looking for a way to skill trees in RPGTBD that is fun and simple but interesting and non-linear enough to allow players to accentuate to their personal play style. On one hand are the classic WoW skill trees: ok but overdone. My brain knows there is something interesting out there and the more I think about it the farther it slips away. What are some of your favorite skill trees that aren't stupid complex?
